When my children were born, I was always looking for ways to lessen their exposure to toxins while at the same time decreasing our carbon footprint and the impact of our day-to-day activities on the environment. In trying to keep our house plastic-, BPA- and phthalate-free, I started using glass containers to transport snacks and sandwiches to preschool and other outings. They were bulky and heavy and I always worried about the possibility of them cracking or breaking, so I decided to find an alternative. While researching other options I found that most litter less bags – although reusable – were made from synthetic materials like plastic or nylon (which are tough on the earth to produce and dispose of).  And that’s when Greenalicious Bags were born…out of my need for a new, healthy way to transport snacks and my desire to help others do the same.
